College of LawThe College of Law has appointed Martin Polaine as a Senior Lecturer and he continues his role as a practitioner lecturer/tutor for its Applied Law LLM in ASEAN +6 Cross-Border Legal Practice. Martin teaches Banking & Finance, Capital Markets, Intellectual Property, International Arbitration and Trade & Investment.

The course is a practice-based LLM developed ‘for practitioners, by practitioners’ and focuses on the ASEAN+6 region with an emphasis on cross-border legal practice. It provides a practical and interactive learning experience for the students through a combination of practical case studies, self-assessments and tutorials.

ASEAN: Association of Southeast Asian Nations, which founded the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015.

ASEAN Member States: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

ASEAN+6 Nations: Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea and New Zealand.
